Welcome to the National Family Support Technical Assistance Center Family Support Workforce Toolkit. The purpose of this toolkit is to share a collection of family-friendly resources, videos, and tip sheets to assist the Family Peer Workforce when supporting families on best practices related to mental health and substance use challenges across the lifespan. When families have family peer support as they enter services, families and providers are better able to work as a team.
This toolkit is intended to directly enhance family support services for mental health and substance use recovery.

The National Family Support Technical Assistance Center (NFSTAC) is committed to providing training and technical assistance using a lifespan approach that focuses on mental health and substance use challenges.
Our approach is anchored by the underlying principles that families play a vital role in supporting their loved ones and are the experts regarding their family support needs.
